St Patrick’s Day, yesterday’s news.

Chocolates for promotional business gifts ---mmmmmm
I must be getting old, have just visited boing boing and I don’t get it. Why is this blog so popular? Just a minute I’ll go back and have another look. Nope. I still don’t’ get it. Yes, I can see that it has lots of adverts and a store and links to lots of places and some entries but what is it all about??? As far as I can see any one who blogs, and that includes me, is simply feeding unimportant information into the ether in the hope that Google will pick it up and position the wordy nonsense somewhere on page 1. Which is exactly why I am sitting here doing my level best to lard this piece with appropriate key words such as promotional business gifts. Yes, I know page 1 is where we all want and need to be if we are going to make a success of an internet based business but in the grand scheme of life, the universe and everything else, can’t the answer be a little bit more profound than 42, or page 1 position 1, or here is a ‘cool’ blog site?
Here endeth my moan, must blog on.
Chocolate is also on my mind at the moment. Lots of it preferably but the sweet temptation must be resisted; I am trying very hard to reduce my girth, currently without a great deal of success.
Just recently chocolates and sweets have become very popular as promotional business gifts. When I was a pup sweets were on the ration, who would have thought that 60 years later they would be so easily and inexpensively available that they would be given away as business gifts. Recycled products and business gifts

Stress Shapes and Squeeze Balls
Stress, a double edged sword, too much and it will kill, too little and we die of boredom!
Sometimes I think that a little peace and quiet with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit would not go amiss but I shall have to wait until I am in my dotage for that – some would say that I am already there but they are very rude people!
The hormone adrenaline is released from the adrenal medulla in times of excitement, fear or stress. Under normal circumstances the fear or excitement results in increased physical activity ie fighting or running away (hence adrenaline is the hormone of fright and flight). Adrenaline prepares the body for this activity by constricting peripheral blood vessels – this raises blood pressure – so that more blood enters the muscles- and increasing the rate of heart beat and respiration. (I told you I was a teacher in a previous life!!) Very good things if you are about to get physical but very bad if all you can do is seethe with frustration on the end of the telephone or sit in a huge traffic jam when you are supposed to have been with a client 45 minutes ago.
One of the most popular of business gifts in recent years have been the stress shapes, sometimes known as squeeze balls.
